Do not misconceive the practice of disciplines to be restricted to those of great skill, poise and control, because it is an inherent ability for every living being.

The difference between individuals who use disciplines that demonstrate proficiencies in their skill and those who don't is how they engage through a discipline to harness awareness.

Awareness is the knowledge and energies of everything, anything we perceive through our receptors carries awareness regardless of how insignificant we may think it is.

Even the act of doing nothing engages within its inertia, resulting in the byproducts that we see in our lives, therefore how we use the mind & body which itself is the Primary Discipline, through the acts of our routines, traditions, rhythms, and repetitions which are the structures of every discipline, determines how that energy is used.

Disciplines can empower & liberate us, or it can confine and restrict us.

A good practice navigates the mind through realms of consciousness breaching mental boundaries where that discipline acts as a safety rope, guiding the mind through the abyss, or what is perceived as doubts, and fears, that simultaneously demonstrate behaviours and actions greater than what we expect of ourselves, whilst inspiring wonder.

Whereas disciplines and practices that do the opposite, keep the mind within the confines of its boundaries, regressing creativity, and turning the mind it against itself whenever circumstances are such that force the mind to face its limits, demonstrated as avoidant behaviours.
